Creating a wardrobe for my daughter is something that I’ve put a lot of thought into. I don’t buy arbitrary pieces for my own wardrobe, so why would I do that for my daughter’s? Here are a few things to think about when buying clothing for your children.
1. What colors look best on them? What washes them out? What looks best with their skin tone and what brings out their eyes?
2. What will best reflect their personality? Are they outgoing and fun? Go with bright colors and bold patterns. Are they more subdued and calm, maybe even a bit shy? It might be best to steer away from bold patterns, but you can add interest with texture and a great, classic color palette.
3. What is most comfortable for them? Leggings are best for little chubby babes, for example.
What do you ask yourself when buying pieces for your wittle one? What colors and pieces are filling up their closet right now?
